The age old question...... Take what is known now? Or roll the dice?
My car was built Friday and should arrive at the dealer on or about September 2nd which I can still use the $3000 owner loyalty rebate.
September 3rd it becomes a guessing game...
I plan to finance about half and put half down... but that could change should they come out with a 60 month 0%... That's really my only hang up I feel like if they take the owner loyalty rebate away they will replace it with something and I definitely wouldn't be opposed to 0%.
Anybody have any recollection as to prior August into Septembers?
The little bit of research I did showed they stayed the same from july into August but I can't find September
I know.... 3k is an ouch but i can't see them leaving me that high and dry lol. Coming out of the northeast driving season its only going to get tougher. Especially with the htpe of the C8 (what I'm counting on).
GM gotta give somethin for September "can i get a Labor day sale?" Lol.

I am a bit confused. Did you sign a purchase agreement already. If so it is what it is. You will be eligible for any incentives in effect at the time your car arrives and you make final payment. That is the way it worked for me when I ordered from the factory via a dealership
Yes. I can get the 3k.. im wondering if I shouldn't hold for September.. the worst scenario is loss of 3k loyalty. But like i said has to be replaced with something... I'm holing that something is better not worse lol.
My car is expected to be delivered to dealer on the 2nd. Decisions decisions.
Because it is being delivered on the second, you can simply tell the dealership that you can't come and pick it up until the third. Then you can see what the incentives are and not have to start over. If the incentives are not as good as the August incentives that expire on the second, then tell the dealership you will only come get the car if they honor the August incentive. Just because the car comes in on a specific day doesn't mean you have to rush to the dealership on that day. What happens if it comes in late in the afternoon? They have to do the PDI and that takes time so I don't think they will require you to pick it up on the second anyway
When my Stingray was coming into Mac Mulkin very late in July or early in Aug. I had a choice to either commit to July or wait 'til Aug.. If I committed to July I would get the $3000 regardless of when I took actual delivery. If I waited until August and the loyalty bonus was discontinued I would lose out. (I took the sure thing). OP, the first C7s where delivered in the third quarter of 2013, therefore what they did in September 2013 doesn't relate to today. Factors like how fast the C7s are moving, how many are out there and so on have more impact than what they did with the last of the C6s. I doubt that GM will back off from the current level of incentives, the only question is, will they increase the incentives or are C7s selling fast enough that they can coast for now and leave the incentives where they are. The only people who know work for GM.
