Is it his company ? or does he work for someone..? If its his company or he is a private contractor , no.. if he works for someone.. Yes.. at least that's what I would do.

I always throw 50-100.00 tip depending on attitude and job timing. Truckers have it hard (I know bc I use to drive cross country delivering produce, then fuel).
When my '17 GS was delivered I tipped the driver and gave to him a bagged lunch with drinks. Didn't care whether the company was his or not.
IMO, his "position" with the trucking company was of no matter- it was he who handled my car.
Enjoy your ride
Yea can't hurt. I just had my tranny fluid flushed and give the service writer, service manager, and mechanic a food gift card. They will remember me next time I hope and do a good job for me.
Tipping has gone too far. I would rather be charged more than have to be a co-employer. I once asked a waitress how she would like it if the owner raised prices 15% and paid the wait staff 15% of the total bill, she said it's a great idea.
Don't get me wrong, I usually tip 20% since owners are cheap, but only to people who depend on tips. In the case of a truck driver, I would never think to tip. My tech I tipped because he went above and beyond me. I consider the tech & service writers to be friends, actually everyone I do business with.
For me it would depend on his attitude when I checked out the car and how he handled the car when delivered. If I was satisfied I would give him a 50 bill (rather than 2 20s and a 10).
