I’ve been using the Delco stuff. Anyone using the Mobil 1 gear oil and tracking?

I searched the threads a little and didn’t really find a similar discussion.

Make sure it has the friction additive. I used GM that already has the additive, I've that some oils require the additive to be added separately.

I just use whatever GM recommends... they warranty this car for track use, so I'd guess they know what works

From the Mobil1 web site.
"Mobil 1™ Synthetic Gear Lube LS is a supreme performance, synthetic, multi-purpose, SAE 75W-90 automotive gear lubricant designed to help meet the highest level performance requirements of modern passenger vehicles in all types of operating conditions including limited slip applications, as well as, deliver outstanding power transfer performance."
I did the red coloring. This is what I use but I only autocross.

You will note that for track use it needs to be changed every 25 Hours, So it really isn’t all that good, not just stock but any gear lube used. Those of us that track our cars like that there is a differential cooler, but obviously it isn’t big enough either. So when changed properly any of the above will be fine.
Some of us have replaced the stock Diff cooler with a bigger one. For street you should be good for 30,000 -50,000 between changes after the initial change, I changed mine after 4 trac weekends.

I too change with factory fluid after 4-8 track days depending on track and weather conditions. Use factory fluid so as not to give the dealers/Chevy an easy way out to deny warranty.

I use Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lube LS 75W-90 - it meets GMs specs and is available at the local auto parts store.
I've seen some recommendations to run 75W-110 on track to better handle the higher temps.
