My GS will sit for 4 months in 80+ degree weather. Is Stabil fuel conditioner required while in storage?
No, I've stored many cars over the years, 6-8 months and never used fuel stabilizer and never had an issue. 4 months is just extended parking, nothing needed except a battery tender.

I'm not what difference the higher temperature makes...but when I store mine for 4 months or so over the winter (partly above, partly below freezing) I've been advised to fill up the tank and put a bottle of fuel stabilizer in there. My understanding is that gas will get stale over time...again, not sure if this is temperature related. For the modest cost of the stabilizer, I'm happy to do it.
The general consensus is it is best to have no more than a quarter tank of gas when storing the car as this keeps the sending unit from getting gummed up.

I would think that gas gets stale faster at higher temps than lower temps.

It can't hurt. Stabil is used annually in all my lawn care fuel tanks. It works as prescribed. I use Techron in Stingray, and it has made a noticeable difference in it's 360° performance as well.
Power Service is the manufacturer of diesel fuel additives I've used in my diesel cars and HD diesel trucks for over 40 years. Great products!
It cannot hurt. I've used Sta-bil for years in nearly a dozen vehicles and assorted motorized equipment not driven/used regularly without issue. It's not unusual for manufacturers of gas-powered equipment to recommend it. Use it or not, all the best in any event.

So make the product cheap enough and if it does no harm people will buy it on the HOPE that it does some good as advertised? Does a "Hail Mary" prayer help? Free and will not hurt and it might help.
I'm spoiled. I've never stored a car over the winter nor at any time. I drove them daily in the winter in Ohio and down here in Florida. So ya'll are on your own for a stabil discussion.

I have put Sta-bil in the fuel for 4-5 month storage, which I do every winter. I have never had any issues doing so.
Just took mine out of storage for 4 months putting in only E10 fuel before . Never had any issues doing so either. Didn't run any sort of data scanning but the SOTP dyno didn't feel the difference. So there we are.
