C7 Nav Solution
However, several have commented that it's risky and undesirable to just lay an iPad on the center console, in front of the Infotainment Center.
I found an iPad holder that facilitates better nav capabilities for the vehicle...I like this solution, have tested it on the road, and feel it's a great alternative to the OEM Nav display.
This iPad holder ("eSamcore") costs $20 on Amazon. It fits in the cup holder secured with the OEM cup divider that came with the vehicle.
It is easy to insert and twist the adjustment lever to secure, or remove from the cup holder.
Why do I like this iPad approach ?
(1) Size: Larger display for navigation
(2) Accuracy: Google Maps is continually updated with nav database, traffic, road closures, etc
(3) User Friendly: Easier to program a route
(4) Versatility: Able to alternately display Waze (on larger display than using Apple Car Play), check weather, etc
Hardware cost: An iPad with cellular can cost $200-on up. Probably cheaper and a whole lot easier than worrying about finding/installing OEM Nav updates (if available.)
I'm not suggesting that you always keep this installed in your cup holder.
I know there are pros and cons. But, when you do want nav capability, consider this as an alternative to using your phone or an out-of-date nav database.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I paired to the C7 Bluetooth and yesterday i touched media and it was playing years old voice mail messages from 3 phones ago. I could not get it to stop. I even turned off the Bluetooth on phone and it kept playing them. So, how do i know what connects through Bluetooth vs what connects via USB. How did the car even find the file with those ancient voice mails i didn't know i even had? For some reason this phone connection to the car is baffling me. Can't I just connect or plug in and what's on my phone right now is on my car right now or do I have to select Bluetooth vs USB, then pick options from those options to "put my phone on my car"

I also have a Ram truck, and it connects automatically and wirelessly (better technology).
