Hi,
New Corvette owner here. On my 2014 1lt Z51 I was trying things out on the information screen and was switching sound modes. I went back into it today and now the different sound modes are not there. Just off and on ? I remember the other day I could switch to different ones and after I did the main dash was asking me to open and close driver and passenger windows. As I said now the different modes are gone. But under steering it shows the different modes.. Any ideas on what I did and how to fix?
Hi, just picked up my first Corvette last week. I was fooling around with the touch screen wanting to adjust the exhaust sound , I switched something and remember the instrument screen was saying lower driver window down and up and same thing for passenger side. Not sure what I didn’t changed.
Now on a the touch screen under engine management all the options are auto mode selector or off.
Before it showed the different modes.
What I’m looking to do is have the car in sport mode with track mode for the exhaust.
Any ideas on what I did and how to fix?
That sounds like you lost 12V power and it wants you to index your windows. Not sure about the menu issues. I set mine to track and never go in there again.
Try deselecting that check box. It might need to be deselected to get to the other menu I showed above. You don't want it to follow the mode selector. You want it always in Track. I set my steering always to Sport. I think that's what you want as well. I included one more screen below. I believe this should appear after you deselect the "Auto (Mode Selector)".
I also found the below thread that says 2014 models only have Auto and Off but I'm not 100% sure about that. I never had a 2014. My 2015 has all the modes available. Apparently the Off setting is the same as Track so maybe try that to see if it works. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...4-z51-2lt.html
Hope you get some good help, these cars come equipped with gremlins in the wiring Sometimes my CEL light comes on but then not the next day. Important you keep a fresh battery for sure.
The sound difference is from exhaust opening on S and T mode, and closing in all other modes. You can change how that function works across modes from the screen controls. I'm pretty sure you can also change the look of the LCD central gagues and HUD to follow changing driving modes, or staying on the look you select. Re missing options, personally I've found that to be my operator error as im not super adept at flying through the screen options and DIC options.
My car does the npp option.
last week it showed the different sound modes
ex: track, sport, etc.
I’m not sure what I pushed but now they are not showing up under driver mode. Just auto and off.
I was just checking the options and pricing on the original sticker.
it shows Exhaust, Multi-Mode Performance a $ 1195.00 option installed?
Does that mean I have the npp with modes?

Damn dude, we already told you. The 2014 model year cars with the NPP exhaust do Not have all the modes. The NPP modes started in Model Year 2015. 2014 basically has on/off. If the car didn't have NPP the exhaust tips would look different and the car would be very quiet all the time.
People make this way too hard. It's "Auto" or it's "Off" in the Engine Sound Management (ESM) menu on the 2014 cars. "Auto" follows the mode selector on the center console. "Off" = Track mode all the time. Starting in 2015 is when Chevy added the modes to the ESM menu.
Finally, Jbanks got it right. You can easily avoid the choices (or not) by just removing the fuse that actuates the flaps inside the NPP tips. I forget what the number fuse is, and it is NOT the same in all years of the C7. I have a 2019 and pulled the fuse (#87) shortly after purchase. It does drone on on the freeway, but I love the sound. You have nothing to lose by trying. Just make sure it is the correct fuse! Good luck!
