I give up buying used!
Since buying my 2014 base C7 this past fall I have gone my usual route buying everything under the sun to personalize it but I've gotten burned too many times to buy used anymore, Worst part is I knew I could have paid a little more to get it new but figured I'd help fellow forum members out,
1. curb alert, savings $25.00 (didn't work, bought another new)
2. Phaft sway bars. I was told they came with new heim end links to prevent any noises. I have driven M60 tanks that made less noise when hitting a bump! switched to oem end links,,,,,,,still noisy! Coming off this weekend.
3, TPS sensors, brand new for a 2014 corvette. Installed in my custom wheels, just left dealership claiming that they do indeed work BUT they must be for the wrong year because my car cannot read them, so now I need to pay for the wheels being broke down, the correct sensors installed and then rebalanced.
New parts from Forum vendors have been awesome, BUT no more used stuff for me!

Buying used is definitely a crap shoot..sounds like you've had more than your share of bad luck.
Having said that...I've purchased lots of stuff on this forum and never had a problem...knock on wood.

Don't ever install TPMS in wheels without testing, in the past 5 years I must have seen at least 5 bad sets brand new in sealed packs.
I check them without opening the box or packs any tire store will help you with that.
There are some that will sell anything even if its junk, just so they won't get stuck with it, many people say bad things about pay pal but this is where it pays to use them.

sad part is that they work, the GM scanner shows they are reading the correct psi, it's just that the car does not read them. They figure they must be the wrong ones for my 2014

Should have used PayPal with a credit card and you'd have been safe. A charge back for item not as described.

The camaro5 forum has an iTrader rating system for classifieds deals between members... Why doesn't this site??
