I am in the market for these in black. I checked into the cost of the leather covers in black for me to swap the covers from yours to black but the price is insane.

Yeah, I went from blue to black and it was close to 900 IIRC, and I think that was on sale.
OP, good luck with your sale!

I have a 2014 1LT Convert, and would love to have them. I will need to have them recovered in black. Any idea how much it would cost to ship to Jacksonville Florida?

Shipping costs don't concern me as much as how to ship them. Only idea I have come up with would be to lag them to a decent skid, wrap in plastic, then build a crate around them. Going to be big, heavy, and time consuming. My guess on freight would be $300.00 by truck. Not sure what it would take to prep them for shipping.

These are just to nice to cut up, so I went a different direction.

I tried getting the drivers seat in the car and it was a no go. The side air bags would definitely need to come off and the lower portion of the seat/s would have to be seriously trimmed facing the door sills. I believe the actual bolt pattern to the floor is the same.

I agree shipping the seats can be a killer from a price standpoint because you will get hit with oversize package for each of them. I did that with a couple of aluminum race seats and found a way to pack them all in one box but you couldn't do that with these. Your customer base is pretty limited if you are restricted to local.
The side air bag modules are bolted to the side of the seat with two bolts. It shouldn't be too much to remove them. They won't do any good in a C5 anyways since it doesn't have the equipment to support side air bags. As for the seat base that side panel is removable. If it is off does the seat fit in the car? Not sure how the C7 seat attaches to its seat track but maybe it could be adapted to the C5 seat tracks. Only issue then would be supporting the C7 lumbar pump and seat back tilt motor/controls. Does your C5 have the passenger side air bag turn off switch inside the glove box? My 97 passenger side bag was always active but later models like my 03 had the shut off switch in the glove compartment.
Any ways here is a TTT for you. Good luck.

Thank you Bill. I bailed on the project early as I had a back up plan that was very easy to implement. These have been sitting for a year and need to find a new home.
In regards to shipping we do travel quite a bit around the Midwest so delivery may be an option to the right buyer in the right area. No plans to go to Florida or west coast. Anyone in OH, IN, MI, IA, WI could be definite possibilities.

Best way to "ship" would be secured to a skid, wrapped in plastic, and crated for protection. Would end up being about 200 lbs.
