What are these for??? Not a Vette owner yet.

They are for track use on a Z51 to help cool the brakes. They are not for permanent installation and should be removed after tracking the car.

They came w/ all Z51s, but the vast majority of owners never used them having never taken them to the track.

Also, they are only for pre-2017 Z51 cars; those earlier ones have two-piece front rotors that need the cooling rings for track use.

IIRC, there is a GM bulletin about 2014-2016 Z51 brake problems (pulsation or noise?) with the two-piece rotors. If you complained, your dealer was supposed to give you the newer one-piece rotors free. Not sure if you need to be under warranty to get that deal, but I'd certainly take it if available.
