The material used doesn't have percentage rating... It's an Orafol dark grey transparent sign vinyl designed for headlights etc that are translucent where light shines through. See link below for more info on material.
Also, I have the same material on my taillights. Dark during the day, but ZERO reduction in brake light visibility/brightness. Photos as proof below - tail lights are still just as bright as my untinted 3rd brake light.

GMPartsDirect is an awesome company, but Cultrag is too. Many, many purchases from both and never an issue.
$635 would win it for me too, but just wanted to counter the bad press for Cultrag. Gene is awesome.
Gene was incredibly rude to me on chat when I asked him if there was a discount from his $689 price for the taillights. His eBay has it for $650 so I asked since there were others in the forum looking for a discount as well. Won't be dealing with those types of people. Just my 2 cents, glad your experience was better...but from what Gene said, he basically said that because he's established himself here, he doesn't care about his behavior.
I’m waiting to hear from TrunkMonkey from the “PM” I sent to them to quote price and then I will make purchase decision.
