is this a twin turbo or single? Any idea of the limits on LT1 ? do you think 600whp is a safe number on 91 pump gas? What size turbo 58mm?

Saw this car in person and spoke to one of the owners of lashaway. (not the tuner, the other guy. Sorry, forgot your name buddy!)

Kit looks good and overall the car looks fantastic. Car has a nice lip kit on it now and imo is just perfect.

Why push the limits on 91 ?
Go 93 or 94, the difference is bigger than you think to resist detonation and BIG trouble

WHAT
how can a high roller town like Vegas only have 91 octane ?

Well then i understand your question better and feel sorry for you as there is a huge difference in 91 and 93, a lot more than people think.
We tested blower boat engines on enginedyno stress test a few years back and wanted to see the difference between 95 and 98 octane.
(we have different rating in EU, so our 95 is more like 92, and our 98 is close to 94 octane by your rating)
On 95 engine blew up boost 10 psi and safe A/F ratio and modest timing, making close to 600 Hp
a torch flame burnt a hole in-between head and block
Remember engine dyne is not a sprint on Dynojet, or quarter mile, we can simulate being in a boat, i.e., WOT uphill for a long time (hours)
on 98, we stopped at 16 psi boost and a lot more aggressive tune and made close to 750 Hp if i recall correctly, and no detonation, no problem

Hey guys,

This kit can most certainly be run on 91 octane, though it will limit the amount of power you can produce compared to a higher octane fuel like 93. The CR of an LT1 engine is already higher than its predecessors, so the amount of boost you can run safely on pump gas will be limited.

We're shooting for a 6 PSI kit out of the box which should net ~550 RWHP, or more.

The kit can easily produce 750 RWHP on a built motor, and better fuel.

Believe me, 550-600 RWHP in a C7 is going to be enough to drop her panties!

Yes, that was me - thanks for the shout out and compliments. Look for this vehicle to be featured in a magazine here in the coming months!

This is a single rear turbo set up. STS is developing a twin set up which I'm sure will be sweet. Our kit is simple and effective. It's built using technology and design which we have used previously on other vehicles. The kit is a bolt on application which one can install in 6-8 hours using hand tools.

The turbo is water cooled and does not require oil for lubrication. This means no drilling of the oil pan and certainly no scavenge pumps, reservoirs and a whole lot of other items. Again, SIMPLICITY was our goal, and we nailed it.

Turbo specifics will become available once we hit the market in early 2014. Product testing is still going on, and is promising! Just ask those who have seen this car already in person.

It will be under $10,000 installed, and will have the option of coming with a hand held programmer loaded with our custom tune so you can install, and go!

The kit will work, and I can assure you that the reviews will be good.

This kit is an off road kit only and will not meet CARB standards. The kit does not utilize cats (like most aftermarket kits). Catalytic converters are an easy way to destroy your turbo should substrate make its way in.

If the customer wants to add cats, they certainly can, but I would not warranty the kit at the point.
