Default VR C7 Stingray- 519RWHP/458RWTQ Cam Only- STOCK HEADS/STOCK AIRBOX

For those of you who haven't been following our build thread, this camshaft retains VVT, but eliminates DOD and was installed with 100% stock cylinder heads/stock air box/stock crank pulley.

Modifications are:

Vengeance Racing custom Camshaft ( Keeping VVT/Deleting DOD)
Vengeance Racing Dual valvespring kit
Vengeance Racing Hardened Pushrods
Katech C5R Timing Chain
Comp Cams Trunion Upgrade
Comp 850-16 Lifters
American Racing 1 7/8" Long tubes with ORX
Custom ECU calibration VIA Vengeance PCM

We will get back on the dyno in the next day or two and dial in the VVT on the bottom end. I believe there is some additional power under the curve to be had with additional tuning.

We also have LMRs new CAI on the way for testing as we saw MAP readings drop to 90kpa above 4500rpm... The next step will be CNC LT1 Cylinder Heads.

Here is a link to our build thread with pics/details of the entire cam installation process for anyone interested..

The sound is unusual. Must be a very mild cam to have that beat!

Nice results guys, a bit low on the torque but it definitely more than makes up for it on the top end!

When you get the LMR intake, are you going to do a baseline then after test? I am curious how this intake will perform compared to the Halltech's. I know it is a different setup with the cam, but maybe even doing a before/after on a somewhat stock C7 just so we can see how the intake does alone?

Thanks!

Wow, so with a CAI, ported TB, and ported intake, and fine tuning the tune; we should hopefully see around 530 RWHP / 460 TQ SAE on a dynojet with UNTOUCHED heads Maybe 550 to 560 with heads? I wonder how restrictive the intake manifold and TB are on the LT1? Is the TB a 90 MM? Wonder what a FAST will do once out.

Our Stinger will be finished after Thankgiving. Adds +13/10 on Katech's engine dyno.

The problem is, we are already backordered through December 15th with pre-orders.

Great numbers.

GM did leave a ton of power in the ECM. Imagine where these numbers end up next year this time.

Jim,

Can injection timing be modified in the ECM?

Shouldn't you have a few set aside for your dealers pushing the envelope with performance packages??

Great job as always Ron and of course Mike. Now it's time to spend a little time on my Orange Twin Turbo Vette. It only needs one more day and she will be finished. Can't wait to see both cars at C&O this Sunday. Should be a good day with lots of high quality built Vengeance Cars. Thank you Ron for my gift today, it was much appreciated.
