Here is what our customer just emailed back. He will verify with Jeremy Formato tomorrow.
It looks like they left the tune alone. We'll know tomorrow.
Vengeance gained +19/21 bolt on, but cam and headers, tuning for best power were in place. They tried to dial in more with fuel trimming up and down in OL and could not get more than the bolt on +19/21.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

The air fuel ratio shown, is of course using e0 as Lambda 1.00 DynoJet software, The fuel was e10, and so is the GM stoich table now across the board, so the actual air fuel ratio was .961 of the shown value. 13.2:1 is actually 12.68:1, etc.

Checking on auto or not, but this dyno is STD, so the numbers are higher than SAE, but not the differences A-B.

Super Bee ISO 5011 filter testing by K&N back in 2006, provided the filtration protocol we required to use our current filter. Engine teardowns at Katech over the years, where customers opt for cam and other upgrades, have shown no scoring or signs of wear at all where their customers are using our filters for performance driving and street applications.
We'll have those results soon on our new filter line.
+14 RWHP/9lb-ft bolt on stock with minor MAF tweaking only. Prototype plastic unit will lay down +14/10 without tuning of any kind.
Independent Dyno done in FL by our customer with Jeremy Formato: +17 RWHP/12lb-ft bolt on headers (tuning already done for the headers; NO ADDITIONAL TUNING WAS DONE FOR OUR NUMBERS)
Independent dyno testing at Vengeance Racing: +19/21 RWHP/21lb-ft bolt on headers/cam/tune already part of the headers/cam pak)
From your website:
“Deposit only. Halltech Stingray Stinger™. We guarantee $499.99 or less, or your deposit will be refunded in full. This is based on preliminary estimates. Look for April release date.”
This is interesting. I have put down a $50.00 deposit towards a $499.99 unit expecting an "all plastic" unit available in a month or so. Now, with your change to shipping "Hybrid" units first where does that put the shipment of the "All plastic units?'' Thanks.

The Carbon StingerCKN was our way to do our complete due diligence on the intake design, without making a $12,000 investment mold (each mold) just to find out if everything worked. It is the most beautiful intake design we have ever done. Doing the first molds in carbon fiber, while not cheap, gives us the opportunity to make small changes. We were able to determine, for instance, that the airbox, had to be fully enclosed to meet our IAT reduction goal. The StingerCKN has been in production now for 6 weeks, and the dyno and street results have exceeded our expectations. We have shipped 13 units, and have pending orders. I expect that for those who want the drop dead beauty of carbon fiber, and results, this will be the ticket.
Our dealer Geiger Cars, in Germany, have two CKNs, and will likely be installing these on most of their Stingray's. They are a very large GM dealer.
The Stinger-R (roto-mold version) project was started months ago, but held up due to our inability to adequately test the StingerCKN due to weather conditions. We have had snow for months, and sub zero wind chills that crack bones. We completed the testing of the StingerCKN last month and now the first prototype Stinger-R.
We have committed to the design, and now the machining begins. As soon as the first production part is finished, we will test it with our carbon airbox to make sure everything is perfect. The Hybrid design will be available to those that want the carbon fiber airbox, and Stinger-R bridge. Pricing is not yet available.
Next week I will be working on the Stinger-R airbox design for a complete roto-mold version of the Stinger-R, but patience is the key. There are differences between the design of a carbon fiber part vs. a plastic part.
Contact your Halltech dealer and get onboard. We have already received large pre-orders from Katech, Texas Speed, WeaponX Motorsports, and Vengeance Racing. We have a handful of individual pre-orders, and they will have the option of the Hybrid first, or waiting for the full Stinger-R plastic version. The dealers listed will have stock of both the StingerCKN and Stinger-R when it is finished. We will announce a finish date next week.
Jim
