Can you go between the two green circles in front with a bottle jack to put jack stands on the circular areas?

While I have done this in the past, I generally only recommend using opposing floor jacks to lift - hell of a risk to crawl under there with only a bottle jack.

But to answer your question, that area is able to temporarily hold the load. If you look at the shading, the main points are preferred, while the rest of the support is a secondary (though acceptable) lift zone.

Yes you can, although I don't see how you get a bottle jack under there unless you are on a 4 post lift with a bridge. Here are the areas you can use. From 2015 Factory Service Manual:

I am happy to see they confirm you can lift in front of the shipping slot because that works better with my standard arm length 2 post lift. Its also more stable to spread the arms more and lift on frame contact points further apart.

I lift using pucks in the shipping slots and haven't found the car to be unstable when lifted by my two post MaxJax. I have the side skirts on my car and I have to use the pucks or the lift bars would come into contact with the skirts. If I moved the front arm further forward on the frame I would still need to stick a hockey puck between the lift pad and the frame to get the lift bar to clear the skirt.

Yeah, I am just saying for people that have a lift with longer arms like mine has, you have the option to lift other places on the frame. I wasn't sure about this at first and had to search a bit to find this thread that clarifies things pretty well.

Default Jacking from under front of car.

How is it possible to roll a floor jack under the facia rock guard in order to jack car from the front? Thanks in advance!
BTW, I have a C6, 2006 Z51.

I see the preferred rear jackstand points per green circles on color diagram in 2nd post of this thread, and per my owner manual, are on each side of the rear crossmember forward of the rear axle. But looking under my 2017 C7 M7, only the center 9" or so appears level; outside of that it slopes up towards the sides of the car at a shallow angle. The color diagram appears to show the jackstand points placed right under this shallow angle. It sure looks like a risky point to place them, as I would think the stands could slip sideways on this angled surface.

Yet I see above the service manual pic shows the crossmember behind rear axle can be used instead of the crossmember in front of rear axle for of jackstands-- that looks much safer to me.

thanks, Jim

Do you have the front and rear mixed up? The diagram in the 2nd post has the front of the car on the right side. On the rear of the car you put the stands behind the axle.

Boy do I feel dumb!! You are correct, I thought I was looking at the rear in the color diagram, not the front. I saw the bold "leaf spring" warning on the diagram and assumed it was the rear since my last Corvette (a '67) didn't have leaf spring in the front. Thanks for setting me straight!

You want to buy one that says "Low Profile", like this one that I bought for my 2006 C6, this one works great. https://t.harborfreight.com/3-ton-Lo...ump-61253.html.
It'll go down minimum height of 2 5/8" is what the sticker says on mine.

I can't believe nobody has an answer for this question that I posted months ago?!?! I just jacked my 06 Z-51 from the side jack points and slid jack stands underneath to the suggested support points anyways.

^^Maybe because this is the C7 section? With my C7 Z06, I use a two post lift and to get the arms under the car I have to drive the car on ramps/blocks that raise it about 3" off the floor. Maybe you need to do the same to get the jack under the front.

I have that jack, but haven't tried it because I do as noted above. I am pretty sure it will fit, but can check when I am out at the shop later today. If you don't hear back send me a PM.

Doh! My apologizes...Being a newbie here when I posted this last Dec I didn't pay attention to which model section this was. But thank you for your tip I will try car ramps the next time before jacking.
