[VR] Wanna Go Fast 1/2 Mile PICS, WINS, and Results!
Coming off our All Motor quarter mile dragstrip win in Atlanta with the LSX Challenge Series, we wanted to mix it up a bit and take racing just a little longer… say, oh, a half mile this time! After running with the awesome crew from Wanna Go Fast, it was an easy decision to head to Chicago for their event and despite insane temperatures on the track, we had a great time with the Vengeance Racing family.
Let’s start with the good stuff:
Eddie’s C5Z06 – WINNER All Motor 1/2 mile at 171mph (Saturday) and 168mph (Sunday)
Shawn’s VRSC690 C7 – 153mph 1/2 mile in Power Tour trim!
Randy’s Twin Turbo C6Z – Traction… what traction?! We’ll be back soon…
Brian’s CTS-V – 173mph 1/2 mile in a Cadillac!
PICS!
Eddie's C5Z may look subtle in street mode, but this beast packs a serious punch thanks to its 474 cubic-inch NA VR motor...
Coming off a week on the Hot Rod Power Tour, Shawn's VRSC690 supercharged C7 looked and performed like an animal all weekend long.
So. Shiny.
The Twin Turbo monster basically just destroyed tires all weekend but we're heading into Texas with a new set of sticky mickey's out back. Looking for 200+ in the half if we can get it to the ground.
Race Mode: Engaged.
Heating up the rear tires before setting the Saturday top speed NA, top speed manual, and top speed rear wheel drive numbers in the sponsor class!
Good bye Chicago... Hello Texas! Stay tuned for more half mile updates soon

I feel a little better after seeing some of the build costs on the GTRs. Makes my build look like chump change, but that's serious power at any price point.
