Beautiful work all around, Ben!

Even my 416 S/C isn't the return of the 427... Yours is just bigger than mine like you were telling me a while back...

Well done, my friend.

A work in progress. We've had it on the rollers but discovered a couple of issues we're working on. Converter isn't locking and trans torq output wasn't scaled properly - working with Circle D on the trans tune for the built trans.

Also, the VVT will not work on the fly due to the spring pressure I'm being told, and the cam was spec'ed to use it. I have another cam spec'ed but I want to see how it responds on NOS before I make my mind up about the cam.

Noteworthy though:
- With the flex fuel sensor, the car picked up 30hp with 5* timing reading E70.
- The car also picked up 30hp without a single tuning change on 93 going from the factory manifold to the ported manifold WITHOUT a single tuning tweak.

I'll have more info on all of the above after I get off of the rollers next Friday.

Default I consider it a donation to the cause.

I bought a set of wheels off of Ben.

Fantastic work... have a few questions:

1. I see you have a thrust bearing on the block side and the main cap. I thought I saw where the LT1 only has the block side thrust bearing now. Was the main cap side something your engine builders custom made?

2. How much of a PITA was it using RTV on the front/rear covers and oil pan? This is one thing that looks VERY annoying about working on the LT vs. the very nice gaskets on the LS.

3. How in the heck do you fit a 375 rear tire? Is the car mini-tubbed? Did you remove the trans/diff cooler ducts?

Car sounds amazing.... nice work.

Man...this is one hell of a build!

The carbon bits look really trick. Are they in production yet?

1. I'll have to ask Bischoff about that I'm not sure.

2. Didn't seem that bad when they did it.

3. 375s required to heavy modification. I did have to modify the fender liners slightly thanks to the usual GM subframe alignment being off in the rear plus since the liners are not completely round in there. The brake ducts need removed but the cooler ducts run from the upper rear quarter area to the hx for each and out through the back bumper on each side of the lower valence.

Thanks! Yes all of my CF parts pictured are available just let me know what you're after!

As for an update, the car has ran as fast as 130.3MPH on motor on a bad launch slipping in first and hitting 2nd early. I haven't sprayed it at the track yet.

With only a spark plug change after that we hit as much as 560hp on a Dyno Dynamics dyno which read low but the tires are getting into the fender when it's loaded down and when hitting it with NOS it gets drastically worse. I need to get a different set of wheels on the car for the dyno to finish it up.

Hoping to do that on Friday before heading to Edgewater!

Thanks for sharing that great project.
On my behalf, i would like to thank everyone that made this project come alive. Great parts chosen. We need to see final performance numbers whenever available.
