So basically the borla and corsa will be louder than the unbranded pipes with resonators. You already have primary CATS, the reason why you want to remove the secondary CATS is to make the car louder and have better flow through the exhaust line.

Having resonators will make it a little bit louder than stock, but will hamper a little bit of the flow as opposed to not having a resonator (borla/corsa). Not a huge difference, but it will be there, in a Dyno anyway.

Where do you take your car to get inspected? I'm looking to get bola x-pipe myself. I see you live in prosper I'm in fort worth. I would drive near there to know i wouldn't have any problems with inspection.

I installed the Manzo unit, and it is more than just a little bit louder. Actually, with the NPP closed it is just a bit louder. When they open it is A LOT louder !

It might not be a true resonator with the Manzo then. Glad to hear it's loud! That's what Xpipes should be like!

I bought the Borla Xpipe!

What the " replacement" for the secondary cats are on the Manzo look like are just some units that I would call an old style glasspack.

Put my Borla X-pipe on a couple weeks ago. This is what the car should sound like from the factory, absolutely rocks above 4K rpms

A lot of helpful info in this thread. A refreshing change from the "mine is better than yours" that so often occurs on this forum. Think I'll be putting the Borla on my Z in the spring.

47 replaces the factory secondary cats (easy bolt-in install), 48 retains them (install requires cutting).
