I had the pleasure of having the car on the full 24 hr course @ Daytona yesterday (1st time on that track--WHAT a thrill!), but service stabilitrack came up. Needless to say, it made me a bit... uncomfortable.
I decided to just turn off traction control, but leave stabilitrack on, as I was running smaller 275s on the rear & the tail is more...lively... w/ those tires.
Anyone else experience this?
It turned off once I restarted the car & gave me no trouble on the way home.
Mine did the same thing on NASCAR T4. It went off and did not happen again.
Did you run the full Rolex course?
S.
Yep- Maybe the angle was messing w/ it in T4, it seems?
First time out there & didn't get comfortable enough to go flat on the banking. only got down to a 2:11.6 nursing part-throttle up there on the banking & then we hit lapped traffic in 3 laps. Was shooting for .06-07s, which I think the car was capable of. Big props on your lines out there in that vid you posted--you never put a wheel wrong...

That would happen on my Trailblazer SS when I went past the (calc) tq 'limits' set in the ECM. I raised that limit without issue, and sometimes it can still happen if the converter is locked and it's a cool night out (nice crisp boost). On the vette, the value seems to be set to 479lb-ft .. if it is calculated to be over that limit, service stabilltrak will flash.
