I just installed mine. Do you use Loctite to secure them? They rotate freely and I am afraid to lose them on the track.

NO NEED FOR LOCK TIGHT! the rear you bottom out tight. And the front will stay in the one position with the D ring down and never turn, also the grill holds it some. I drive with my front and rear on all day long and it does not move.
If you loose one on the track and that will never happen I will give you a new one no charge. (Now some one may take it)

Yes the rear one is all the way in tight, the front i picked up two 20 mm nuts and found the sweet spot where I wanted it to be and the nuts are tight against each other , then I screwed the hook in tight. It took me 3 times to get it where I wanted. Very easy, mine stay in and don't move.

Do you have the stock C7 base grill? I do and the threaded portion of another venders hook does not fit through the grill opening. I see where these are turned down in size near the hook but the threads still have to go through the opening. I don't think the grill opening between the grates will line up with the hook even if it did fit. Looks like I will have to cut out a few slats in the grill for it to fit. Curious what you did?

This is how I found the sweet spot, and very tight. just add two 20 mm nuts.

Do not cut the grill, no need to cut the grill. They will fit. Also the nuts are not needed, if the D ring stays down it will not turn.

Let us know if you plan to leave tow hooks on, we will cover the turned down part of shaft.

Also the production shafts will have a lock pin to tighten when you install. We have the pin installed on all we ship now. I do not use the pin on my car and have driven many miles with it not turning.
