Jon, its been known for some time the 15's run cooler than the 14's. My stat proves that.

I put a 170 thermostat in my 14 and haven't had a problem since highway 170 to 175 temps and street 185 to 195

any one has a stock ECM timing pull vs ECT table that they can post on here?

also, is there a engine RPM limit base on ECT? as suggested on post #26?

It would if anybody else had that stat. Several people have already posted pics of the '15 stat (even in this thread) and they all said 207. Did you not read the thread? That's the whole point.

If more people actually did have a 194 thermostat getting an aftermarket one wouldn't be as big a deal as 194 is somewhat reasonable. The 207's are obnoxiously high and basically keep your cooling system from functioning at 100% until you're fairly close to overheating.

they have been posted, that's the awesome part about having 10 threads about the same thing instead of the OP's just posting in the original.

Even a stock 194 vs aftermarket can make a big difference. I have a 2016 Mustang GT that would run 215-220 with a stock 180 stat and putting in a 170 it now runs 185-190!

I know this is an old thread, but as I am researching the problems with my 2014 Z51's cooling system, I figured I would try to figure out what the "CR207" code on the thermostat means ... and I found it!

If you go to AC Delco's website https://parts-catalog.acdelco.com/ca...log_search.php and enter the 2014 C7, under the Cooling group and Thermostat subgroup, there is this entry:

Engine Coolant Thermostat
Part Number: 12T019F
Product Notes:
Engine Coolant Thermostat
All; Temperature: Temperature 207F; Included Components: Includes housing, thermostat, and seal; OEM Recommended Temp; Standard
Per Vehicle: 1; Years: 2014-2014
If you do the same for a 2015, you get:

Engine Coolant Thermostat
Part Number: 12T020E
Product Notes:
Engine Coolant Thermostat
All; Temperature: Temperature 194F; Included Components: Includes housing, thermostat, and seal; OEM Recommended Temp; Standard
Per Vehicle: 1; Years: 2015-2017
So, I conclude that the "CR207" marking on the 2014 thermostat (that is part of the complete AC Delco 15-11125 and GM 12674639) means that it is a 207-degree thermostat!

Yes it does and the 2015 bulb on the thermostat is marked 90 C, 90 celcius = 194 degrees.
