Default Benefit of Z51 sway bars on Non-Z51 C7 Stingray?

I am thinking of adding the z51 sway bars, front and back to my base Stingray 2015. Would this make the car handle better for some hpde fun / beginner. Anybody done this? Is it a waste of time with stock suspension? Ger.

Did it on my base ZF1, very little improvement if any. The car handled great as-is so it was not very noticeable to me. The Z51 rear shocks I added was more noticeable, the back was too soft. It's a low dollar mod and easy if you have clearance under.

Lots of folks have done this mod......and if you are going to do it, do your self a favor and have Gene hook you up as he has a "KIT" put together with everything you will need.

We have these available for you!!
2014-2016 Corvette C7 Z51 Sway Bar Add On Upgrade Kit

However, our prices seem to vary from other kits I have seen out there. This is a complete kit, where as other kits may not include everything you want, but only enough to get you by to install the upgrade.

these are the part numbers and quantities for the kit. ask around and see what others are including. GM# 22936510, 20966781, 23305975*2, 20959449*2, 22945601*2, 23305978*2, 20959448*2, 11546672*4, 11588472*4, 11516078*8

There are two Z51 sway bar setups out there. The one for the non-mag shock car really does not make a very substantial difference. The mag Z51 setup that has the same front bar but, a much larger rear bar is the one to have for any kind of twisty fun. You WILL feel the difference with that kit and the costs should be about the same.

what's the part number for the rear sway bar of the Mag ride Z51? and what about the non mag ride Z51?

I installed Z51 shocks and sways, and the handling is MUCH improved. But, now you have me wondering which rear sway I have..

Don't have the part numbers at hand but, the non-mag rear bar is 26mm while the much better mag bar is 31mm. Got mine from GM Parts for only $71 plus the bushings.

Can you list the description of each of those parts? In particular, I'm interested in what part # 22936510 is. 22936508 seems to be what's included in other kits, and is listed as part of the FE3 suspension. IS the "10" bar from the mag ride suspension? Is that the FE4?

It looks like you're shipping a different pair of insulators, probably the ones that match the 22936510 bar.

It also looks like you're supplying the same bolts for front and rear, where the "other" vendor is supplying different ones for each end.

Finally, I can't find 11588472 at all.

Lot's of people have successfully installed the Z51 bars using the other vendors kit. It would be helpful to know what the differences are with yours.

To confuse it even further, there are two different bushings for the 31mm bar, one for the Z06 and one for the Z51 magride. I have the Z51 bushing for magride and the they are black rubber. I was curious what the other bushings looked like.

2014-2016 Corvette C7 Z51 Sway Bar Add On Upgrade Kit

Over the weekend, I studied the Corvettes a little bit and wondered why the kit I had come up with was different as well.

I had originally assumed that all of the C7 Corvettes were equipped with a front and rear sway bar; even if that sway bar might be quite small. With this in mind, I put together a kit for a full kit of front and rear z51 sway bar upgrades including four end links & nuts, insulators, clamps & bolts - front & rear, and both performance/heavy duty susp sway bars (FE6,FE7)

Now I have revised my listing and will have prices posted on our site. <a href="http://www.trunkmonkeyparts.com/" target="_blank">Trunk Monkey Parts | Your source for OEM and Aftermarket Accessories.

2014-2016 Corvette C7 Z51 Sway Bar Add On Upgrade Kit

A C7 Corvette Z51 sway bar upgrade kit includes:
(1) 20966781 FRONT STABILIZER SHAFT (YELLOW)(CODE AAB5)(FE6,FE7)
(2) 22950841 INSULATOR (YELLOW)(FE6)
(4) 11546672 BOLT
(2) 11516078 NUT
(1) 22936510 REAR STABILIZER SHAFT (BLUE)(FE6,FE7)
(2) 22945601 END LINK (FE6,FE7)
(2) 22950837 INSULATOR (BLUE)(FE7)
(2) 20959449 CLAMP
(4) 11588742 BOLT
(4) 11516078 NUT

I hope this helps clear up all the confusion!!

Thanks. Can you provide a link to the specific page on your site? The only listing I can find there still says call for price, and I think has the old parts list.

I bought the kit that Cultrag Performance was selling:

c7-z51-bars 2014-2016 C7 Corvette Z51 Sway Bar Add On Kit $303.99

http://www.cultragfactoryparts.com/c...kit/c7z51bars/

These are the bars for a Z51.

My car was a base car with the standard 18/19 wheels and no Mag ride . So I added 19/20 wheels with the lower profile all season Michelin non-runflat tires and the Z51 sway bars.

I think it still rides smoother than my C6 did with the Z51 option which I thought was smooth enough so I like this setup.

I had been hearing the shocks on the Z51 are A little stiff.Sounds good for the track. But maybe if touring maybe the ones that come on the base give A smoother ride.
