Default C7 T1 Suspension Kit

The C7 T1 suspension kit is becoming available. The part number is 23336064 and the price is $3250. The kit includes swaybars, non-electronic shocks, and lower control arms. There doesn't appear to be any springs in the kit.

So I don't how a C7 T1 with OEM springs can compete against a C6 T1 that has race springs. And I don't know how a C7 T1 with base springs can compete against a C7 T1 with Z51 springs.

The C7 T1 suspension kit claims a very mild 40% increase in front roll stiffness and 20% increase in rear roll stiffness.

And then the kit promises to void the warranty.

Here's a link:

Well, the link is a Z51 subject posted in the Z06 forum.

Finally, I'll post back if the SCCA T1-LP class allows something in addition to the GM T1 kit
.

Silly kit....the grip of the tires set the spring rates, the springs set the damping....so they offer shocks, sways and lca's with stiffer bushings????

Hey, GM! lets knock 2 grand off this kit and sell the bushings that have to be pressed into the lower control arms rather than the whole LCA's???
This kit makes about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine. My advice...wait....Bilstin already sells the stingray and Z51 shocks aftermarket, they will sell these new shocks soon enough....the sways will probable be on sale by them selves soon anyway and as for the stiffer bushings. I would put money down that they are just Z06-07 bushings in the LCA.

For $750 bucks I installed LG heavy duty adjustable sway bars front & rear on my Z51. With the end links and mounting holes set for max stiffness, Carbotech XP10's to handle the stopping, and everything else stock, the car is stable as a rock on the track. I've had it flat out around NOLA and Atlanta Motorsports Parks, and the handling with that simple set-up is superb.

There are two Corvette shops hereabouts that offer affordable Bilstein coilovers. The spring perch height is adjustable but the shock itself is not adjustable. Spring rates are all over the map so I like 650/800 or 600/750.

I'm waiting to see if the T1-LP class allows something in addition to the GM T1 kit. If not then C6 race cars will have stiffer suspensions than C7 race cars

The price of $3250 is rather steep for the kit. I added up basically the stock front/rear non-mag Z51 shocks, sway bars and lower control arms from GMPartsdirect and it comes roughly to $1400 for the whole kit. Hopefully they will carry these items at a substantial discount.
