Hi Patrick

Thanks for the helpful information. I have been looking into this since I saw TheSmokingTire video on youtube a month or two ago.

Have you had any issue with the temp getting hotter after you run it a bit?

I have not had any problems with heat soaking. The intake air temps drop quickly after a WOT pull. I have noticed that the Magnuson thermostat seems higher than my stock GM thermostat (the housing gets replaced in the installation). My stock temps used to run 195-200f and this new thermostat seems to run closer to 205-210f. I will most likely swap the thermostat out with a Lingenfelter stat to bring the temps back down.

Patrick G - Very nice power numbers from your calibration on the C7!

Our 2015 C7 with A8 was run last weekend, it is completely stock from the air filter down to the factory tires - it makes 535 RWHP on 91 octane with the Magnuson calibration.

Waiting on a set of drag radials to get back to the track and see what it will run when launched harder.

Nice run and great 60ft for a stock tire with the S/C I would like to see the trap speed a little higher like 128 to 131 after u get a tire

I want something comparible to the z06 trap

No problem, this is not a "hero" run, this is a drive 2 hours to the track, make 7 runs in 3 hours then drive home, no cool down, icing or anything like that.

My daily driver is a 2015 M7 Z06, it runs 123-124 MPH trap speeds under the same conditions.

Other Z06s run about the similiar MPH depending on the track and without long cool-downs, here are examples.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-2016-z06.html

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...o-raceway.html

I'll be sure to repost once we have some passes made with a set of sticky tires.

Patrick how hard are you pushing the air/fuel ratio
compared to the stock magnuson tune they provide?

Your numbers 562rwhp/591rwtq are much closer to the expected HP for 7 lbs than magnuson 120hp+ as advertised.

Nice job and thanks for the info.

I did not get to see what Magnuson is using for their base tune as I am running the tuner kit and did not receive their programmer. I can tell you that I am commanding around a 12.5:1 AFR at WOT and running 16-18 degrees of net timing at WOT. With stock exhaust, the AFR and timing were in the sweet spot. Cars with headers seem to be able to tolerate running a little leaner.

My car runs door to door with my buddy's C7 Z06 (stock A8 version). I have not run it against a stock M7 model. I should have the upgraded pulley right after Christmas to install so we should be above 600rwhp as the only modification on the car.

What size pulley does it have on it now and what size are you going too?
If it's similar to the E Force the stage 1 comes with a 3.5" pulley and the stage 2 comes with a 3.25" pulley.

Stock pulley on the Heartbeat kit is an 87mm (3.43") and I'm going to be swapping to a 78mm (3.07") pulley.

I make 6.5-7.0psi with the standard 87mm pulley. I should gain 2-3psi with the smaller pulley.

Pardon these newb questions from me, I don't know a thing about FI, but I'm really interested in this specific supercharger.

the z06 has a boost gauge, the stingray doesn't. If one is actually needed, what can one do? Install an aftermarket one?

Thanks!

You don't have to have one, but yes. There is a wide array of boost gauge options. I've always felt like an air/fuel ratio gauge is more important. Boost gauges are fun to look at though, and you can't have too much information.

Do you expect to be able to run this additional boost on pump gas? How about if only 91 octane is available? That seems to be all that is available in AZ. Thx.

Of course I'll be able to run on 91-93 octane pump gas. We're only talking around 9psi boost which is below what the stock LT4 engine makes.

The stock Lt4 is much lower compression. That's why it can run so much boost on lower grades of fuel. You should be ok as long as the tune isn't crazy.

I may be one of the few guys on here with Heartbeat experience. I also now have centri experience.

If you want stock like manners and sound and don't want more than 700whp then the Heartbeat should be your ONLY choice. That blower is amazing with what it can do with just the basic kit. I went 9.9@140 with that blower. I could have went 145+ had I done my plan of gears/heads like I was going to do. Instead I wanted a badass hwy car. So I went centri and I love the noises it makes. I actually hated that the Heartbeat was so quiet. I actually think the centri setup I have now looks cleaner in the engine bay. Although the Heartbeat looks much more stock. I made 660whp through an auto with the Heartbeat and damn it was fun. But I wanted more and I coudn't get anymore boost because I had the smallest blower pulley and the largest crank pulley I could do.

With all that said if you want 700+ your ONLY choice is a centri blower.

All based on my experience.
