Next round of mods, including F1X and LME intake
Car is back at the shop, again, for the next round of goodies. Last month we installed LG Coilovers. Mantic triple, and DSS level 5 axles.
A few pics of the DSS Level 5 axles.
We also decided to go with a Mantic Triple disc clutch. When we removed the stock double it actually looked in pretty good shape, considering the car has been boosted for 14k miles, with hp ranging from 600rwhp - 1120rwhp.
I wanted to drop the car a bit and get the suspension dialed to be putting more hp to the ground and decided on LG Motorsports coilovers.
I originally started with an ECS1500, then switched up to an ECS 2200R last year. Well, a little voice in my head told me we needed more power. So last week an F1X went on the car, with custom made brackets by KFM to fit the F1X while retaining the ECS intercooler setup. There is still more fab work to be done, new piping has to be made to connect the airbox along with a slimmer radiator fan. We also installed a DeWitts radiator thanks to Ben over at WeaponX. The F1X is a monster compared to the 2200R, which is a ridiculous unit itself. The F1X sounds like I'm flying a jet, I love the whine it produces.

We also installed an LME billet intake manifold, which I have nicknamed "the precious". This thing is a work of art! We have red anodized fuel rails on the way for it for port injection.
We also did a cam swap and went with a more aggressive cam. We jumped up from a 32% lobe to a Comp Cams cam with a 44% fuel lobe for more fuel.
We also installed LME ported heads to help things flow. We also upgraded the valves while we were at it.
We were in a rush to get the car ready for a car show last weekend between the car being at the body shop with the Z06 body kit and trying to get the intake and F1X on. FSP did a few dyno runs with it, unfortunately most of the runs the tires broke loose on the dyno. The best (and possibly only) clean run it made 1291rwhp. We ran out of fuel around 6200 rpm so we left about 1k rpm on the table still.
The final part of this install will be the addition of Katech valve covers, relocating the coils, fuel rails with port injection and a Haltech Elite 2500 ECU. Right now on the car there is a secondary low pressure pump, a Z06 high pressure pump, lash cap, 44% fuel lobe and 3 meth nozzles, we are still running short on fuel (which we expected) The Haltech will control the port injection duties for the additional fuel we need, as well as additional safety measures and more importantly traction control. We are also adding a flex fuel sensor so we can run E85 on this beast.
Thanks to the guys over at FSP for doing amazing work and guiding me along the way on this build. I will upload some more videos and pics later as we go!

Some very nice numbers on the F1X. That cam must really like the blower.. Great job Matt on the car and tune of it. Has to be a beast. Robert
