Just wanted to make sure I purchase the right item and if there is anything I should know before I do. I have 2016 z51 7MT. Only mod is a corsa x pipe. I wanted to pick up a few extra horsepower so I figured the tuner would be a good easy way to do so. Im fine with the basic tuner. I just wanted to make sure I purchase the rone right for my vehicle and most easy to use. Also Im all for supporting a vendor here if anyone has a recommendation on who to buy from. Thank you
I am in the same boat, trying to figure out which tuner I should use. I have heard that there have been challenges with the Diablo Tuners on the 2016 (causing performance issues), and not clear if those have been worked out or not. I have heard really good reviews for the COW tuning module as well.
Interested to hear what people have to say on this subject :-)
I've been using the Diablo InTune on my 2014 Z51 M7 for about a year and a half now and am very happy with it, especially after I got a custom tune from DiabLew on it. Before the custom tune, I was using Diablo's AFE intake 93-octane tune which also worked fine.
You have three options when it comes to Diablo handhelds:
Trinity (larger unit, extra features)
InTune I-1000 (has since been replaced by the i2, but you can find them used)
InTune i2 (faster processor than the I-1000 for quicker flashing and updating)

The i2030 model is the correct intune part number, or T-1000 for Trinity.
The issues with the early 16 tunes has been resolved, it was a build issue on our end, the latest updates are working as they should
