Default Functional rear diffusers

I've been looking into functional diffusers, since they reduce drag without adding more drag. So far I could only find two:

Difflow C7 rear diffuser ($829 MSRP)
http://www.difflow.com/corvettec7diffuser.html

APR rear diffuser with undertray ($1965 MSRP):

What do you guys think? Is there anyone with any experience with any of these in terms of aerodynamic impact to the car?

Are there any other functional diffusers available?

Let us know what you think on it after the install and driving the car at 140 mph. Robert

I think what you meant to say was "A diffuser adds downforce without increasing drag". It does so by creating a low pressure zone at the rear of the car thus pulling it down, somewhat similar in effect to an upside down airplane wing. To work most effectively the underside of the car needs to be smooth without obstruction interrupting airflow to and through the diffuser.

I like the look and the install of the Difflow unit. Does anyone have an idea about the functionality of the diffuser? Does anything need to be done up front to balance the handling? Does this interfere with cooling (factor or aftermarket)?

If the bottom of the car was optimized and low enough to help a diffuser function properly you would likely realize slight downforce at speeds over 120 mph on a 3500 lb car, however it would be slight. If so a 2" front splitter likely would be more than enough for balance.
