OnStar volume

I just traded my C5 in on a 2014 C7 and I am still learning how everything works. I called OnStar with the radio on very low, I could hear the person quite well and my directions were downloaded to the car. However as I was driving the radio volume did go down just a little and I could hardly hear the directions. My question is, is my info center bad or is there a way to get the OnStar volume up ? I read the manual and saw nothing that covers this, should I contact OnStar and explain that I can't hear the directions ? I see the turn by turn on info ctr and DIC but hardly any volume when you get near you turn ?????
