Default Wheels & Tires Question

I am looking to get wheels & tires upgraded on my car. I have a 2014 Z-51, and I want to stay with the 19/20 set up. 2 questions.

1. What is the widest I can go at the back? I am looking at XO Verona's (black). I also may go back to Bob's House of Wheels for black re-pro's (Z-06 style) I was told the widest I could go was 20 x 11. If so, what would be the correct offsets (front and back).

2. What kind of tires would be the stickiest? Run-flats are preferred (I seem to always pick up screws and nails). I have 535 RWHP and the stock Michelin's just let loose too quick. I may add meth & headers, so the HP could go to 600.

This set up will be for the street, but I am afraid to give the car any power because they let loose too soon.

Thanks in advance.

It's not really how wide. Wide really doesn't help acceleration as much as you think. It's tread compound, and temp.

A longer narrower tire patch helps acceleration, a wider, shorter patch is better for lateral grip. Think top fuel.

I understand what I need when I track the car, but with the power I have, I am looking for the questions answered for the street. I would think that I should go as wide as possible no?

Thats kind of against conventional wisdom...you don't really see people running skinnies on the rear at the dragstrip. In fact they run less pressure. Following your theory they would not do that. Unless you are running slicks, your tire temp should not be to high. Produces the wrong results.
