i would go by the guys' threads who posted dyno charts for it on the forum. I don't typically dyno tune for stuff like that, just the builds that need a more controlled environment to dial in the combo.

Just added the AFE CAI shown above. Easy install... but leaned the mixture out SO BADLY it was detonating. I HIGHLY recommend a dyno tune to get the air-fuel ratio from 14.0:1 with the CAI back down to 12.5:1. The result on my otherwise stock '14 Z51 7 speed: 502hp/504tq, at the crank!! Tuned on a DynoJet on a 65 degree day. 427 wheel/.85= 502hp. So, plan on spending about $400 for the intake and $500 on the tune. $900 for 42 hp? Oh, yes. Car pulls hard...

Remember that all dynos are not created equal. The AFE intake will not add much. In fact, you're better off just upgrading to the green filter IMO. If you want more bang for your buck, go with EdgyVette's ported intake manifold and get tuned after you install it.

There are stock manuals dynoing 412rwhp. You need to do immediate runs on the same day while making changes to see the gain. There is no way in hell you got 502hp from that intake on a Lt1.

He is guessing crank horsepower, man. But yeah, very much on the high side lol.

Did I miss what your baseline was on this same dynojet...?

Sounds like that jet is spitting out inflated numbers.

I know he meant crank and that it was an estimate. My point was that he may have only gained a small amount of HP in reality.

Are people in this thread talking about the aFe Power Momentum 54-74201Performance Intake System (Oiled, 5-Layer Filter) or a previous aFe CAI? Because, the 54-74201 is relatively new, right??

Has anyone looked at the LTFT's after a aFe Power Momentum install. That is, can the computer handle the aFe unturned, without going too lean??

(bad experience here with 2 cars and several tuners. . . a former vendor here bricked my 2009 PCM!)

Nice thread - based on what I read here I ordered a Attack Blue Dry Nano High Flow filter. The input here made me shy away from spending on an air intake system. Ordered it through the Forum store which is a plus!

Thanks
