Default Spoiler info

I have a 18 stringray with no spoiler straight from dealer. Ultimately I want the wicker bill. But do I need to get a gm style mounted first?

Thanks. Still a little confused. So does the wicker bill come originally as a initial spoil install or no? Also does that light on the hatch get removed?

Different people refer to different parts as the wicker bill. You've got the two bolted-on winglets on either side of the spoiler (which come in varying heights), and then optionally, you have the center bridge. The center bridge bolts on using the same holes as the winglets, you just get different length screws for those.

To add a full-width spoiler, you have to remove the rear fascia/bumper. The top edge gets a couple holes in it, and the spoiler is bolted on. Either the Z51 or the z06/GS style just lay on top of the small spoiler you already have. They fit on top, and the center brake light stays.

If you just get the z06/GS style spoiler, its easy to change the winglets, and add the center bridge. But if you put on a Z51 style, you'll have to drill those holes in the spoiler to add the threads to put on the winglets and stuff. It's an option if you already HAD the Z51 spoiler. But if you have to add one and remove the bumper anyway, might as well just get one in the Z06/GS style that accepts the winglets and center bridge.

My car in the pic I posted started life exactly like yours. They just added the z06 spoiler on top. Those are the lowest-height winglets attached to mine (with the two yellow stripes)
Awesome and thanks I understand now
