No. I'll have to wait until I get my annual bonus in the spring to do that.

Drag Week 2017 is done. It was a whipping but I enjoyed every minute of it. Except for that one day my hotel was canceled on me.

Found a pic on hotrod.com of my car from drag week. Front looks like *** after I tried scrubbing all the bugs off from the 15 hour drive with one of those gas station squeegees.

Some one not paying attention and tried to occupy the same space as me at the same time.

I guess that's the risk one takes when daily driving.

With regard to just the direct crash damage, looks like it's just cosmetic. No damage to the exhaust, bumper, etc.

Still waiting on feedback regarding the CEL & transmission issue.

Well, all's well that ends well. Apparently the hit set something off to cause the trans to go into some sort of limp mode. They said the code was for low voltage. The reset it and checked the programming and everything is up to date and working. My test drive, the car felt and ran like it always has.

The rest was strictly cosmetic. Total was about $2,500.

Weeelllll, not so fast. Car started up this morning with a P0700 transmission fault. It's back at the dealer.

Probably just electrical. Maybe a module got jolted too hard, ground got loose, connector got wrenched, etc.

Well the dealer tech is apparently stymied troubleshooting the P0700 code because of my ECM/TCM tune. Waiting on a call back to get clarification.

As an aside, I was looking over the Service Manager's shoulder when he was looking up my case. They've flagged my car with a voided power train warranty because of the tune. <shrug> Not really concerned as I only had about a year left.

Picked the car up. Drives fine. Trans is nice and tight. Just reset the CEL code and said all is up to date and GTG. Wash, rinse, repeat. We'll see how it goes over the weekend.

Drove over 100 miles this weekend. Several start/stop cycles. Beat on it a little. Everything seems to be fine. Closing this chapter.

So they reset it once and it came back. Then reset it again and it didn't come back. They must have done something else?
