Default Cruise Control not working

I had someone in my GS that was pushing the buttons on the steering wheel and now my cruise control is not working. There is no response in any of the cruise buttons. Does anybody know if there is a disable function that might have been triggered by him pushing the buttons? Thanks!

Does the white cruise control indicator go on and off when pressing the center button (between the res and set buttons)? If that isn't coming on then a dealer visit is definitely in order. You should have the white cruise indicator whenever the cruise control is ready and it will turn green when the cruise control is active.

I guess he could have hit a strange combination of buttons causing a control glitch and if so disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes and then reconnecting might cure it but for a new car I would just go to the dealer at this point.

On left hand side of the steering wheel, above the three cruise control switches is the ON-OFF button for the cruise control. Triangular looking button with a half-circle and dot in the center. Try cycling that. You should get a white indicator that cruise is on on the instrument cluster.
