C7 newbie question, does the temp gauge work?
Greetings!
Still learning about the new ride, and have noticed that the temp gauge warms up nice and smoothly to 200 degrees, and STOPS there. Never varies, regardless of cruising on the interstate, winding roads, etc.
I remember that the old 4th F-body cars (maybe just the firebirds, but that's a long time ago) always read 210 degrees on their gauge, regardless of the actual temperature (other than warmup).
Has anyone else noticed this?
TIA, and have a good one,
Mike

Huge cooling system. It really is that stable. Get a Z06 on the track and beat on it in warm weather and you'll start to see it climb, so you'll know it's not lying to you.
I always wondered if cars shows a "range" of temps as normal, but I've seen this one show a range (the opposite).

The physical temp gauge is not very responsive or accurate. DIC displays have a digital gauge available on Tour / Performance and analog gauges in Sport and Track /Performance DIC displays.
Hve fun checking out all of the DIC options!

My 2014 C7 analog temp after warm up has always been EXACTLY 220, right in the middle (lowered to 200 in 2015 strangely enough), while the digital temp gauge shown in tour mode is always about 195-198.
There have been other posts about this.
Hmmm.
