Default HELP! Car riding high and weird sounds after sway bar install!

Corvette: 2016 Base with MSRC.
Used these same parts: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...grade-kit.html
Followed instructions from forum page "DIY Adding Z51 Sways to a base C7....>"

The job is so simple; remove the wheels, remove old bar, replace with new bar. You don't even remove the droplinks, just replace the nuts.

After the job, the front end is sitting ~3 inches high, and when I drove it around the block, the most horrible metallic sounds come from the front end when she steps over a bump! I can't imagine what's happened. Please help with any suggestions!

LOL you put it on upside down! Surprising how well it fits upside down, till you lower the car and it hits the frame rail.

(Sorry for the harshness, but since i did the same thing i feel ive earned the lol'ing. Several others have done it as well)

"If it's worth doing twice, it's worth doing half-a**ed the first time."

Thanks for setting me to rights, 555ctsv, and also for being a decent chap about it!
When you swapped the bar, did you reuse the same new bolts that had been on a short time, or are we supposed to discard them and buy new ones??

Me too - it's like the story of my DIY attempts.

I almost did the same thing & again it is crazy how easy it fits the wrong way.

It is like when I put a set of headers on my c2 that was made for the side pipes. But then again a good friend told me which way to do it but that was the wrong way. He got a big kick out of it but when I had them on and went for a drive then the car would not turn maybe only a half turn on the front wheels. That is when I knew something bad was wrong. But to get one side of the headers on correct I had to unhook motor mount and lift that side up as high as I could get it to get it in. Robert

So I just installed both sway bars on my base 14 yesterday, I also had the rear on backwards, got it to fit but looked off, after about 20 minutes looking and scratching my head I took it off, spun it around and surprisingly was way easier to install and fit like it should

I love those moments....

You are supposed to use new bolts.

Everything says to replace the bolts as they stretch when tightened and are "one time" use.

Definitely use new bolts. TTY bolts should never be re-used.
