Is there any way to disable the Daytime Running Lights?
Just checking to see if anyone knows of a way to either disable or turn off the Daytime Running Light Feature on a 2014 Stingray. Thanks..

On the 16, turn the light switch the way you turn it off, and the DRL (auto) will go off.

There's no way to turn them off permanently, but every time I start the car I turn them off by rotating the "auto light" ring on the stalk.
When I start the car in the garage the headlights come on because it's dark in there. I just turn off the "auto light" feature and it tells you on the instrument display that auto lights are off. And that will keep the DRL's from coming on.
If you're driving in the evening with the DRL/auto lights off and it gets dark, when the auto feature would normally turn on the headlights it will tell you that you should turn on your lights, so just rotate the ring and the headlights will come on.

I know the new LED's are long-lasting bulbs, but in my estimate of all late-model GMC & Chevy SUV's & pick-ups with DRL's(not LED's), approx. 15-20% have one burned or broken out, looking like crap.

Before retirement last year I had a 25 mile commute each way mostly on 2 lane 55 MPH rural roads and during part of the year I was on the road either right at dawn or dusk driving into the sun. Oncoming traffic not running headlights or DRLs are not very visible and I saw numerous near misses where someone pulled out to pass and then the oncoming vehicle suddenly became visible. DRLs also work as a good safety feature for the numerous idiots who drive in the rain without lights although my favorite was driving in the fog earlier this year and met two Chrysler minivans, one white and one silver, following each other in the fog with no lights on.
It is likely the LED DRLs on the C7 will be working when almost nothing else does, they should have an extremely long life unlike the incandescent running lamps on my 2006 GMC diesel pickup.

I'll bet you want to black out the tail lights too.
