Default Corvette HUD

Good morning
My Corvette is from 2016. I bought it with a mileage of 3000 miles.
In the day I see the HUD on the glass poorly, is it in everyone's mind?

Does the windshield say HUD along with the part number, etc on the lower right corner? Maybe it was replaced. Non-HUD windshields have been reported as problems.

Are you wearing polarized sun glasses? This can cause the display to appear faded or washed out.

Try adjusting the display position and brightness. Depending on your height there may be an optimum position for visibility / clarity. I find keeping the display as low as possible works best for me. Brightest is not always the best setting.

Make sure the windshield and HUD projector are clean.

Good luck!

Ron

Tilt your hear 45 degrees to the right. You'll look cool, like you don't care. And you'll be able to see through your polarized sunglasses.

Why GM opted not to polarize the dash and HUD in the same direction is beyond me!

I wear polarized sunglasses and don't have any issue seeing the HUD.

I watch without glasses. The glass was replaced but it is the original. I wonder why little can be seen in the day.

Go to the dealership and let them figure it out.

On page 119, I read: "The HUD image will automatically dim and brighten to compensate for outside lighting." And it seems to me that it does not work.
Where is the problem not seen in the day?

Do not wear polarizing sunglasses.

He said he didn't wear glasses when looking at the HUD. There could be a problem with the brightness control but without a dealership available it might be tough to find.

Are the headlights turning on and off automatically as they should? I believe that the same ambient light sensor (located around the center of the dash near the windshield, see page 142 of your owner's manual) is used for all of the light sensing functions. Make sure it isn't covered or blocked because your HUD will think that it is always night.

I think so. Where is the HUD control? Eg blocking in day?

Thank you very much for your information and advice.
Clean the glass from the inside, clean the glass on the HUD, clean the dark sensor and nothing has changed.
Like a candle lamp on a sensor of darkness, short lights are no longer lit but nothing happens to HUD.
Maybe there is something in settings?

It is almost impossible to see driving straight into a low sun but you would expect that anyway. I see it perfectly with polarized sunglasses.
