Hood vent/emblems-Matte White
I've been thinking about powder coating my rims to Matte White for a while now.. Well before I went ahead and did that, I did so for my emblems and hood vent. I think it looks awesome and will look even better once I get my rims painted to match.
I do also have a hood stripe coming in the mail soon that is matching color to finish off the hood. Probably install that next weekend.
Before applying paint, clean the areas thoroughly. I used Plasti-Dip for these parts. Worked like charm. We'll see how it holds up over time. For now it looks great and is super bright in the sun!
Masked off areas about 2 inches around the emblems, paint 4-5 coats on each area with 30 minutes in between each coat. Try not to rush the painting process, it'll take multiple coats. Let the paint dry for 30 minutes or more after the last coat.
****Make sure to get the Plasti-Dip paint onto your masking paper/material around the emblems so that when it comes time to peel, it'll peel off nicely along with your masking.****
Slowly peel off your masking material around the emblems and it should come off nicely. The only areas I had to get a small tool to finish were in between the wings on the Stingray side emblems. Other than that, came off perfect.
Stay tuned for more!

OK........that's going to take some getting used to. I think doing the wheels would be WAY over the top.

Nicely done, I think I'll need to see the hood stripe with it to see if it ties it together. Definitely unique!

I wouldn't do the wheels (personal opinion)...after the hood stripe you should be good with the white accents.

Overall I'm pleased with how it came out.

It definitely brings it together on the front end. Now I'm not so sure about the red hash marks. And you're right, the vent is not quite the same as the stinger. White wheels will pull it together more too!

Thanks guys. I think the wheels being white will finish off the look. Nice and crisp.
I wanted to go with a unique look so that's why I chose white. I see black all over the internet and I'm not the type to just 'fit in'. I appreciate the comments and I'll post more pics once the wheels are white.

The Plastidipping of rims in white doesn't work. The brake dust insta-coats to the tacky plastidip rendering them varying stages of nasty within 50 miles. Ask me how I know :/ Having said that, if u have low dust pads on the car you may have better luck.

Not something I would do... but it is stylish and heightens the profile.

Not sure I would do the wheels
