That clutch weighs 40 pounds for the kit. Did you guys find out how much the stock clutch weighs?

Trying to remember off the top of my head, I believe it was 65lbs clutch/flywheel.

Forgot to post new video or does it really take two months to edit a video and info package ?

This is so what the Z06 should have been. I can't believe that GM couldn't have gotten up to 600 hp with direct injection and better flowing heads.

Jason,

This is my dream car, and I'd imagine many others here. I hope you work on this thread. Would love to see the video.

They'd probably need more exotic materials and processes, like CNC ported heads. High revs can be a lot more stressful on an engine than boost. Also, emissions. It's not exactly easy to make 100hp/L with such a large engine without DOHC so you can time the intake and exhaust valves independently of each other. 600-650hp NA while passing emissions would have been one heck of an accomplishment. They couldn't even get the LT1 to 500.

Considering what a supercharger costs, I seriously doubt they went this route for nothing.

Katech’s monster wasn’t realistic for production, I agree.
But the Z28 dynoed 468, think it was the last LS7. That was w/o direct injection? I think for 14K additional they could redesign or CNC the heads. The piston speeds are high, but not unusually so. I believe 600hp crank was not that far off.
They chose a different route with the supercharger and created a different set of problems. I would have preferred they stuck with n/a and less hp, but that’s my preference.

I agree- I just don't think they'd get to 600hp NA with a 6.2L. They barely got 505 with a 7.0 L and exotic materials and CNC porting. I don't think they'd get to 600NA with a 7.0L either. And let's keep in mind, their goal was obviously about 650hp.

A 500-525HP NA V8 should have been the Grand Sport. Although I'd imagine the extra cost would have put it too close to Z06 pricing.

I am one of their customers, I have only had that car on one track, Spokane county raceway.
You never know who or what cars are going to show up.
Generally a wide variety of cars, bikes, and sometimes shifter carts.
There is a small group of guys I would call the home regulars which are a blast to run with, most are seasoned skilled drivers, a great group with common goals, run fast, smooth and safe.
I for one like to have an edge advantage, that being a superior car which enables me to not have to beat the **** out of my car to stay in front, set up and pass others at will.
The track gets its share of dangerous meatheads and some serious crashes are common.
One death last season.
About the car, If I hard charge too much, pretty much everybody sees the car coming and they just pull over without a fight, I prefer closer competition, feels more like real racing, and I think its funny knowing how much pedal I'm not having to use.
It would be a totally different situation on other higher end tracks with higher end cars and more serious drivers.
