Default Carbon Flash vinyl roof wrap

Thinking of doing this for my presently painted TR painted roof on my 15. Anyone done this yet or have any advise on material and application?

I used 3M Carbon Fiber vinyl to do my roof and stinger stripe. used knifeless tape to outline the middle of the roof and hood, laid down the vinyl, then used the tape to cut it. I used 3M Dinoc, but have seen that Scotchprint is probably better for exterior use.

Any issues with the vinyl adhering to the curvetures of the roof? Do you have to heat it during application?
BTY, my car looks almost exactly like yours except mine has the CF painted mirrors and rear spoiler. Also adding thr Z06 wheels with red pinstrip. I'll post a pic after install this sat.

No problems adhering. I did get some of the vinyl primer and went along the edge with it. Yes I did use a heat gun to put it on. It is easy to pull up and re-lay with the same piece as long as it doesn't get too hot and stretch.

Did you also wrap the upper rear fender vents? Would love to wrap mine on my white GS. Since I have black mirrors it would look great.

Use 3M 1080 vinyl and knife-less tape. If you do it yourself, it can be done for less than $100.

I used 3M 1080 and knifeless tape to do my own hood stinger and hatch stripe. Total cost of some bulk 3m 1080 and a small spool of knifeless tape was about $40, and I still have a good amount of knifeless tape left over for my next project.

Lots of how-to YouTube vidoes on knifeless tape. Now that I know how to use it, I'll likely never have to spend the extra bucks for pre-cut vinyl again. And to me, it's much easier to lay out my lines with knifeless tape than to try to perfectly align the edges of a big sticky sheet of pre-cut vinyl.

Ask help from the veteran installers, why not visit Gatorwraps and request for a quote. I believe they have installers for a vinyl wrap in all major cities.
