Hi

My 2016 C7 started making a whine noise from 2500rpm and above. Its very noticable and loud.

It makes the whining with AC ON and OFF.
Very very slight noise while idiling, but once reving above 2500rpm it whines very loudly
Also it makes it when driving above 2500rpm.

Any idea what could it be? A yone faced similar issue?

Do you have a PDR recording demonstrating what it sounds like?

No PDR. I will try to take a video with a cell phone as the sound is very noticable and the phone will definetly pick it up.

I'm thinking maybe its the alternator going bad

Cold or hot makes the same noise? How many miles on the car?

Yes, makes the noise when cold and hot.

15k miles.

well, the car now makes it from 1500rpm and above, its definitely getting worst little by little.

Gonna take her to the dealer to get her checked

It would help to have a video of it. Does it matter what gear its in?

I wonder if it is the fuel check valve on the stainless line between the engine and fire wall? If you move the line around it should change the noise. Someone else had a video of this issue. You will have to do some searching to find it.
