So I finally got around to mounting my rears up last night but as it turns out there is an issue with the wheels. Seems as though either the hub or the lug holes are drilled wrong. (I know, I should have mock fitted before putting tires on and I didn’t). Does anybody still have their boxes from their 18”x12” F14’s that they could post up a pic of the wheel specs so i can compare with mine? Trying to see if the number match up or not. Heres mine:
When I got the first set of 18X12 replica wheels I installed them on the (jacked up) rear without tires to see if they had any wobble while rotating in drive at idle (approx. 10 mph) on the rear axle. Well one had a large amount of wobble. This maybe a good thing to do before mounting tires for all new rims.
It seems that somewhere along the way one rim was hit or dropped which put a depression/dent that was not very noticeable about halfway across the barrel and that is why I did the spin test in the first place.
I then called the vendor who had a little trouble believing but I returned that wheel (free shipping) and was sent a new one. I later talked with another vendor who told me he sees this every so often. He said one way that the wheels get damaged like that is when a lift truck fork hits the rim when loading.
So check your rims for fit and also see if they are running true before installing for the best chance of getting a great set of rims and peace of mind. After all you do have some money invested.

here is a pic of my box. One thing I noticed is I have to use the thinner hubcentric rings that actually came with the wheels vs the ones sent from Jake on the rear. The thicker front ones work fine on the front

Thank you for the pic confirming I have the right specs. Odd about the centering ring being off. Does the ring fit around the hub center when you test fit just the ring? And does it fit the wheel properly when test fit?
Ok, I just check fitted both of mine and I'm good.
I also will need to use the thinner rings that came with the wheels.
It's a pain I know, but Jake will make it good.

trying to remember but I believe the larger hub ring didnt fit in the wheel hub itself

Interesting. The hub rings I got from Jake fit perfectly. Do you know what size yours are? Mine are 78.0mm OD and 70.3mm ID..

unsure at the moment. The drag pavk is on the car right now so I am not sure of the size of the t hinner ones. The thicker ones work fine on the front tho
I could try to get different hub rings, but the fact that the wheel doesn’t sit straight without any hub ring tells me something is off.
the first time I put my rear wheels on with the proper hub rings, they seemed tight. Had to hit with my palm to get the hub to seat flat against the rotor. This could jist be from the powdercoating. They go on fine ow without amy issues.. see if you can tap the wheels edge with your palm to get it to seat

The hub bore on my wheels has no powder coating. Its exposed aluminum. The hub rings fit the hub and the wheel properly it seems. Heres some pics. First, heres the wheel with no hub ring and just the lugs. You can see the hub in the middle is not centered. Then in the subsequent pics I have the hub ring on and the wheel is seated against the hub with one lug in and seated correctly but the lug holes are shift and you cant turn the wheel to align them.
When I go back and put my other wheels on everything lines up perfectly so i know my hub and lugs are straight..

the hole pattern is slightly different(they used Camaro pattern) so the lugs will not be perfectly centered. As long as you can seat the wheel against the hub and get the lugs on you should be fine

The have the order ready to start for two new rears, but we do need the defected ones coming back to us. They said we can have it done in two weeks tops for you.
