Default Help with Borla X Pipe install

So I just finished bolting everything up on my Borla X Pipe and have found the whole thing is lopsided. What I mean by that is the passenger side pipe hangs lower than the driver's side and you can even see where the hanger goes it's not level. Is this just how the pipe was made or do I have to undo everything and try to twist it some to get it level? Anyone have thoughts?

I would loose up everything, and try to realign while torque it back again! Look like a misalignment.

Thanks. Its just weird that everything is bolted up on both sides and on hanger and still looks strange. I'll try that.

Yeah that's crazy. I'm assuming I'll have to probably undo front flanges completely then to try to twist it

Well just a follow up, I took the whole thing back apart and it still is coming out crooked. It's got to be the pipe. When I put the slip on parts on then mess with the front flanges o can get it straight but then it's an inch off from lining up with header pipes. I guess if it's cocked a little it doesnt hurt function? I mean the tunnel plate covers it anyways.

One last thing to try a bit opposite of the directions if IIRC.

Get the fronts lined up hardly loose maybe 1/4" slack and then slip in the muffler pipes and screw up the rear hanger mount that same 1/4" slack. Go back and finish torqueing down the front down pipes and finally the hanger and rear muffler pipes.

This is how I fit mine and came out perfect. I rather have to pull the muffler pipes then the connection to the headers that's why its a slip fit at the rear.

Good luck and use some muscle on those slip fits on the rear of the x pipe pulling the rear muffler pipes together for a no leak connection

Loosen the 4 header flange bolts, unhook from the rubber hangers, loosen the rear band clamps. Make it as straight as you can up front at the header connections left and right . Figure out a way to hold the front pipes straight while you are tightening the left side 2 bolts to hold your adjustment. The left side push up and the right pull down at the header connections while loose.

Bring the header connection evenly. Don't tighten one side then the other. couple of turns right, couple of turns left keep doing that to bring the connection together evenly.

I just did my xpipe and noticed the same kind of fitment. My exhaust tips in the rear are now not even anymore either. Is there something specific I can check? I'm confused as to why this would happen unless the xpipe was made crooked.

Loosen everything and try to make adjustments. Mine was not perfect but got it alot better. Loosen back and front.

Did it affect your exhaust tip alignment too?

Loosen the both rear clamps. That's a slip fit back there, make your adjustments and tighten clamps to keep it there.

That didn't work. I couldn't get it to fit any better even after loosening all the bolts. It really seems to me like the borla x pipe itself is out of wack. Has anyone seen issues with this thing just being shaped wrong causing fitment issues?
