Drag wheels TPMS not learning..2017 GS
Hi all,
I just installed a set of front runners on my car for drag racing and the fronts threw a tpms error about 15miles into a drive with no pressures shown for the fronts. I used the proper 2014+ sensors ordered from West Coast Corvettes. I have a rear set of radials I use and the same sensors used in those have worked fine.
I have tried to search for the proper tpms relearn procedure but not alot of info other than "they should learn on their own".
If I pull the tire pressure screen up and hold down select button, it goes into tire pressure relearn mode. I have no idea what to do from there. I did not see anything specific in the owners manual, nor online... unless I am just having a brain fart blind moment.
I am leaving early in the morning for a trip to the track and would be nice to get this going properly.
Any advice on this procedure would be very appreciated!

Just went for a relearn drive, and am baffled. The rears WERE working(the drag radial setup)..
Drove out.. fronts showing the dashes.. no pressure... about 8mins into the drive the rears lost pressure reading.. and all 4 tires are not showing -- . Have no clue. Have to leave early am for the track(3hr drive) so I'll see if it learns on the way to the track.

Gotcha. I did that and took a 20min drive(did a couple logs while out).. rear tire that WERE working changed to the dashes also. Guess its just bad luck. I'll try it again when I leave out for the track in the morning.

The good news is that with the C7 you shouldn't have any problems at all.
Unlike the C6, which had horrible limp mode problems when the tire pressure sensors weren't logged into the TPMS, with the C7 you shouldn't have any issues with the sensors not "learned" into the TPMS.
Have fun at the track!!!

Ok, I tried a couple of times on the way to the track today but it didn't work. I'll make sure tomorrow to get on a interstate onramp and start the learning process then get on the highway. Hopefully that will work. I am having an issue understanding why the rear wheels are no longer reading. I have had the rear radial setup for a little bit and they learned right off the bat and have worked for a while. now all of a sudden they are not working either.

Do you have an order receipt for the tire pressure sensors with the GM part #'s on it??
The part #'s for C7 sensors are 13581560 or 13598775. Either one will work in all C7's.
Maybe they sent you the wrong sensors.

This sounds like it's being overcomplicated:
1) Install new wheels
2) Go watch Seinfeld for 20 minutes
3) Car is ready
No driving required. Worked for me every time. I'm not 100% certain that Seinfeld is required, but the 20 minutes are.
I have not seen driving as being part of the instructions, so for all I know that's the problem!

I would invest in a sensor triggering tool. You just put it in learn mode, then walk around the car and trigger each sensor. The tool also reads the sensor pressure, temp, and battery condition, so easy to find defective sensor.
