Default How many C7 cammed cars are there really?

I mean I know there are more in the world then this forum but, I have searched for cam results, and cam installs, and almost every search detailed to basic.

And there is literally like less then 10 LT1 cammed C7 cars on this form it seams.

Is it really that rare?

so if you have a cam installed, post up.

I was led to believe all LT1's come with a Cam. Did yours not?

...Haha joking aside, I have an aftermarket cam from Lingenfelter in my Stingray.

I hear ya....its almost like nobody mods the cars anymore

which I think is a large part to do with the DOD/valvetrain setup making it a pain in the *** etc where people just dont wanna screw with it and a lot of the cars are still under warranty

It's not really the DoD, it's the fuel pump lashing. Plus the hp fuel lines are one time use, so you have to replace at least the one line.

The high pressure fuel lines are cheap to replace when doing a cam, about ~$50. The fuel pump lashing only comes into play if you are replacing the cam with one that has an increased fuel lobe percentage. But even then, thats not a big deal anymore now that we have the lash cap guide that I wrote explaining the lash cap purpose and how to measure for and install one properly..

SSScooter66 and FYREANT Both of you are in my Less then 10 count. ha.

SO in all my reading I have yet to hear about a fuel line being one time use only?? which one and why. I am betting the shop doing mine as we speak does not know this...

What is the less than 10 count? Lol

The fuel lines that need to be replaced are the crossover lines that go between the fuel rails and connects to the HPFP.

In the below pic its both the pipes with the yellow tag hanging off of them

Also, if they pull the HPFP, which they will have to, they need to replace the HPFP gasket as well as the two bolts holding it in. They are one time use as well.

Hmm wonder why the fuel lines are one time use? Bolts on the pump and a gasket I can understand.

the under 10 meaning I made a list at the top of all the people I can find on this forum with a cam installed in a LT1... and its only 10 at the moment I would be #11 (now). still looking though.. ha

Ahh I see what you mean now by under 10 lol

The pipes have to be replaced as they have a special coating on the threads to seal the connections for the 2-3000 PSI fuel pressure that it will see. For the price of the parts, its really quite acceptable to me

11 now, so I would be 12.

Thanks after I posted that I searched for the info as well.

SO the bolts to the pump TTY, the pump gasket, and the 2 fuel lines, Pump to Cross over, and the Crossover its self (which you dont pull if just doing pump, but will if doing cam)

Being in Aviation and building and installing many, many hydraulic and fuel lines that we rated and tested up to 12,000 PSI or more depending on the line I've never heard of one time use after r/r. These were with AN/MS fittings...

If replacing the pump you still have to do the crossover as well..

Here is the dyno from one of our heads/cam/e85 package C7 Stingray's we did. We usually only see around 560-570 on the stock C7 Z06's on our dyno.

List of mods:
Swaintech coated ARH 1-7/8's longtube headers and ORX
AFe cold air intake
Weapon-X Ported throttle body
Weapon-X Stage 2 CNC Ported heads (Same as ssscooter66)
Weapon-X Stage 3 Trap Star Cam kit (Same as ssscooter66)

There is an idle clip in this video on his youtube channel, he's not really too active on the corvetteforum.

I am leaving stock heads on mine.

around what duration and LSA is your Stage 3 - The wXm LT1 Game Over? I don't need exact specs if you dont disclose them. but curious how cbig small it is compaired to what I am doing.
