Default What HP level will a stage II give ?

This is our Stage III camshaft which is our max effort camshaft. This gives a very aggressive lope at idle and High peak power. The limiter has been raised on this vehicle.

We do offer several other camshafts for the LT1. If you are looking for a slightly more aggressive cam over stock then I recommend our stage I.

Our Stage II is the biggest camshaft I recommend on automatic cars and gives a nice lope at idle and has excellent street manners.
HP level with stage I and stage II ?
Drivability is subjective and hard to describe, but would you let your granny go out in a stage II A8 car in stop and go traffic and no worries ?

LOL yes I would let Granny drive an A8 car with our stage II camshaft and wouldn't think twice about it.

The 569rwhp! was done on our Chassis dyno. All of our performance packages are rated at the Crank.

Vengeance,

Note on your website related to this package says “Automatic transmission equipped vehicles may require aftermarket stall converter and/or upgraded transmission.”

Can you explain why this cam package requires a torque converter change? What’s the effect with and without TC change? Does this effect daily street drivability? Also, what’s an “upgraded” transmission and why would that be needed?

Thanks in advance for help. Just trying to understand how A8 is effected.

For our N/A packages like this the stock A8 is just fine. Our Stage I and Stage II camshafts also work great with the stock torque converter, however the Stage III camshaft as used on this build will push through the brakes without a higher stall speed torque converter. We offer the Circle D converters for those looking to upgrade and run the larger camshaft profile.

David, thanks for the quick follow up. So, if I understand it correctly, you need to bump idle a couple 100 rpm with the stage 3 cam to stabilize idle. As a result the stock TC would start to grab, therefore driving the need for an increased stall TC.

Are the Circle D converters proven to be any better than GM? I’m guessing they would be less prone to lockup clutch failure just because of the DoD delete anyway, but how’s Circle D reliability?

Still waiting to hear this one’s rumble!!!

We have had great luck and success using the Circle D Torque Converters. They work really well with both boosted and NA setups and offer a near stock drive-ability. Just have to give it slightly more throttle than stock. Let me know if you are interested in going this route. Robert and I are happy to assist.

On average we see a 10-15rwhp gain on E85 with a naturally-aspirated build similar to this.

What about the valve seats on the ported heads. I've been seeing a few posts especially in the camaro forums about the seats on the PRC ported heads failing, probably due to valve bounce. But are you guys doing anything differently to avoid that? It seems like I only see posts about it regarding PRC heads.
