Default G-Force axles or DSS and why?

Only interested in opinions from people who have of have had either or both. Pros, cons, and any other info you could supply would be helpful. I know all about turbo 8sec cars that run DSS but I need something that can handle 1.2x 60s without breaking (One brand) or clicking cv joints (the other brand). I am also aware of the 2 different warranty’s offered. Cv shafts that sling grease all over would sway my decision as well...

I am not looking to create a pissing match here, which given the nature of my inquiry may be unavoidable, but I need to do something SOON.

Thanks in advance,

John

I don't think you can go wrong with either.
I've had no issues with DSS axles. No grease issues or strength issues. Probably a little harder to take in and out.
I know it's not the exact advice you need but hopefully it's worth something.

Without a doubt go dss. I had force in the previous car and the had issues and gforce wouldn't stand behind them.

One of the big vendors in here that I was talking with said go G-FORCE the other had problems with leaking. I did have DDS in the c5 & had the said problem. So I sent with the G-FORCE and much better build axle in my book any way on the c7.

I just put mine in 2 weeks ago at most & for sure much much better than the stock one's.. Robert

Stay away from GForce as they're crap - had one start to come apart at the track on my 2007 after less than 20 passes.

Fortunately Summit took them back and issued me a full refund and since then I've made hundreds of passes with the DSS ones I bought and they've been flawless. The car runs low 10s and I usually have 60ft times in the mid to low 1.3s.

The only warning I have is that if you do decide to go with DSS order them ASAP as they take forever to build and ship.

^^^ As anyone can get a bad one I have had both in the c5 & now in the c7 I put in G-FORCE from looking at both sets these from G-FORCE are heavy & made better than the DDS this is from just looking at the parts & how they are made up.

Not to say these cant & may go bad. Robert

My gforce axles were problem after problem. I talked with the owner on numerous occasions. These were professionally installed and after coming out of the differential on two occasions I finally told the owner I want my money back. He gave me the runaround and never took back. Why buy an expensive product, break them on a launch and have no support?!?!?!

Good input...support vendors who stand by their products! Need to make this decision soon myself.

I’m getting my drag pack and my DSS axles from Mark Carlyle, it seems I’ve read a couple stories about broken cages in the cv joints of the g force units, and I just don’t get the warm fuzzies

I appreciate all of the input, in the past, stock c5 axles have never failed me. But we don’t have that option with these cars. When my axles come, I’ll take my diff out and rob the 2 spiders out of it for the 4-pinion 2.73 I have here already machined

Guess I will see if I have any problem with the e-force stuff as soon warm weather is here. The only problem I had with the dds the joint would leak the grease.. Never broke one they are made good. Robert
