Default Crazy Cowboy installing cockpit insulation in my Z06

Had Dan....aka Crazy Cowboy do a custom install of new high-tech just released thicker quieter insulation in my Z06 today, about 7-8 hour job. This guy is very thorough and does the job like he owns the Z06 himself! Having done several hundred installs in last 14 years, he is a master at removing those snap in Corvette panels, and even pre-cuts the aluminum cover foam before he installs the stock carpet.

He just got hold of this newer thicker rubberized insulation today, so my Z06 was the first install...so with those Corsa Extreme pipes and Cat Delete kit, it is louder than most other vettes even with headers. Now I can hear my boom box easier and talk to my co-pilot without shouting.

So, if you want quieter inside your Vette., give Dan a call here as he is a Corvette Forum Vendor and does great custom installs here in Central Florida, shop is in Oviedo just NE of Orlando.

A roll of it weighs 46.297 pounds, so that is the weight added to your vette if you choose this insulation.

Just out of curiosity, how much do you think it all weighs?

Try TKO perfomance out of Long Island NY.
The sell a "Matt" 1 1/2" 3 layer sound stuff, custom cut all over your existing '14-18 Vette Coupe cargo. 2 second install yourself. $ 215 +/- WORKS...
also a "peel and stick", like in the pix in this thread for behind seats and around the "Hump" $ 65. +/- with a pc of "Carpet" NO removal of seats, shift, or existing carpet, just roll back and DIY.
I don't know about the labor $$$ in this thread but for 1 hour, I had all mine done, myself, in detail with no downtime..

Thanks for the post. This customer had the TKO mat in the trunk and it was not effective for him (his words not mine). The Double Extreme Kit we did on his car was night and day over the trunk mat noise reduction. I’m sure it does work but a mat is not comparable to the level of dB reduction.

Oh, prices look like they will be going up 10% in about a week due to aluminum tariffs on China.
