Default Battery was dead

I have a 2014 c7 i went away for a few weeks and i came back and the car did not want to crank over. i put a meter on it and it was about 9volts even jump starting would not work. But i was able to get in the car and i had all my dash indications but it just clicked..ok so i go and get a new battery and install that now i have no dash indications at all when i go up o the car the door just clicks like it wants to open but wont .the key fob which also has a brand new battery if i click the unlock it will click but you still cant open the door the hatch will pop open but i have to open the door by pulling the cable. at 1st the drivers window would not work but we finally got that to go back up. I read somewhere where you hit the brake pedal a few times i have tried that did not work i have no horn no headlights its like the car has completely locked up or in some kind of safe mode or something..everything was fine before i went away i am running out of things to try. Next i was just going to have it flat beded to the dealer and let them do what needs to be done it has to be something stupid that i just can"t figure out a sequel to do to get it out of this mode. any help or suggestions what i could try or do would be really appriciated...2014,20,000 mile
Thanks ahead of time
Rich

What is the voltage reading of the new battery? Maybe you got a dead one or one with a shorted cell; unlikely but possibly.

Check the 300A fuse on the battery.

Double check your cable connections and I mean check them! Make sure the nuts are down tight and everything is making good firm contact especially the Positive cable. It needs to be at an absolutely correct angle or it wont make good contact with the battery.

Elmer.
