livernois are good peeps and well known in the Ford Raptor world for tuning and supercharging.
I have been a Livernois customer for 4 Ford Ecoboosts since 2011 and turned to them for the C7. At the time I was adding a tune I only had Xpipe, TB and Green Filter. I have since added the Vararam and MSD Intake by Mamo. The HPTuners option was higher than I was willing to spend on minor bolt ons at the time, and one of the forum dealers jerked me around with an Ngauge that was never compatible with 2017+. Then I spoke to my contact at Livernois and realized they offer a nice tune setup and pulled the trigger. I have been running the tune since September 2017 and have had several updates. I love their tune. I plan to stay with their tune up until an engine build down the road.

The Better - ARH Headers arrive TODAY on UPS truck "out for delivery!
L1FRDOG, I had the same issue after installing the CAI. Just pulled the battery cable and it fixed it. Good to hear driving around will do it too. Congrats on the Headers! I am curious about the headers install to see if it throws a code. It shouldn't, given that it retains the sensors.

I am excited to see finish installed pics and dyno info.

Also curious how much the sound changes. Wondering if headers will make it much louder or not.

Not too shabby! My headers are on the way, I went with AR long tubes. I'm getting a tune with

Ported TB
Ported IM
Verraram cai
Long tube headers
Akra slip on exhaust

I bet I get numbers close to yours!

Default Final Results

We conducted a final tweak and run on the dyno after the engine had a chance to cool. Primarily because the first several runs were back to back and engine temps had climbed up above 210 degrees.

Best results were 466 RWHP / 475 TQ

What I found was exactly what has been stated here on the forum many many times... Bolt-on's, by themselves do provide some benefit, but the tune is where the gains are made.

I wanted to see for my self what the 3 levels of performance are. Comparing Stock/Bolt-on(no Tune)/( exact same bolt-on's with TUNE
I did not personnaly run my LT1 (M7) on a dyno, but I am more than satisfied that the majority of numbers posted are correct (close).
Stock: 400-405 RWHP (I fee that baseline c7s are routinely showing this number across the board, sometimes less but rarely more)
All Bot-on's: 426 RWHP for approx 21-26 HP gain
All Bolt-on's + TUNE: 466 RWHP (Total of 61-66 HP gain, with 40 HP coming from the tune alone).

My take always:
- All the touted HP gains by individual bolt on’s definitely do not accumulate.
- The real HP gain is in the tune (tuner) I had heard to expect ~40hp from the tune alone and that is exactly what came out.
- The question is how does it drive? Absolutely Fantastic! Truth be told I found that all the bolt ons added ~20 HP but I felt that the car was driving differently (almost like I’d lost some low end torque). The Tune helped clear that up, and i have fantastic driveability now.

I did not come into this to prove what I expected my numbers to be, or to see how high I could go. I simply wanted to capture the numbers i achieved in order to show others what they might expect (realistically, vs "XYZ sticker will add 5 HP). In my final analysis the TUNE unleashes the full potential of your bolt-ons that the stock computers are trying to compensate for and therefore limiting you from reaping the full benefits.

Oh and one more thing, the sound... everyone asks how loud was it... FREAKING AWESOME! I may have suffered permanent hearing loss.

On a mustang dyno that is some very strong # plus if your car is a auto even better. This shop that seems like a bigger # than normal on these add on's from a mustang dyno.

If these are true number from this shop you have a strong car for these add on man great job....Robert

How much louder did the exhaust get with the headers? So your whole exhaust is stock cat back with mid length headers? You have 2 cats or still all 4?

It is really crazy with these valve's on the car. It not 1/2 the sound if the car was a c5 r c6 & put the headers & mid pipe on the car..

I put LT headers with no back cats & 3 inch mid pipe with also ATKA Borla with NPP on the car no drone at all. Really not that much louder than stock with it not in Sport r TRACK mode.. Robert

How much louder?
first, yes as I mention about 40 times in the last 3 pages 😁... I have ARH Mid-length headers (including the 3” high-flow Cats). Note, the cats flow really well. If you take a flashlight and look in the stock primary Cats it los almost solid. The high-flow cats you can see through. After the headers I have replaced the stock x-pipe with the Borla Off-road x-pipe (aka secondary Cat delete). After that it is stock axle back.

i did the xpipe first and that was a really significant change in volume. After adding the headers and standing next to the car during the dyno... I am not kidding I may have hearing damage. It was super loud (in a good way). So good, that I have currently zero desire to even do a axle back aftermarket exhaust. Note 2, the video is loud if you turn up the volume, but it truly does not do justice to being there first hand.

Agreed, that with the valves of the NPP closed it is super ”stealth”. But I set my engine management settings to run in “track mode”... valves open all the time... loud enough for me!!

For 2017 and up you don't need to pull fuses anymore. Can click right on engine management in the console screen and select"track" and it is open all the time... no partial shut.

not exactly, it still closes at 1700 rpm or so, even in track mode.
