C7 LT1 Ebay headers, dyno anyone?
Does anyone have a dyno comparison between stock and ebay headers?
I know that arh and the big names is the best but if i can have like 70% of the hp and the sound for half price im good with that.

Bad idea for so many reasons. If you want cheaper price with the same performance of the big boys, check out Texas Speed Headers.
You will have fitment issues with ebay headers. Plus the metal they are made of is poor quality.

Yeah, good chance they will start rusting off. Fit and finish will likely suck. Cheap metal also tends to crack with relatively low time.

The problem is the flanges, over time with heat cycles they WILL deform, and you’ll have header gasket leaks that will cause fuel trims to be off and codes set. I scored a set of used arh headers on the site here for 1100.00.
They had cats but I cut them off and I’m more than happy.

I remember some 10 years ago, when Stainless Works was selling headers on ebay. People were saying the same thing then, that all ebay headers were garbage.
Stainless works turned out to be a pretty reputable company. I'm sure there are many others that deserve the bad rep, however to say that all ebay headers are crap would be a gross generalization, IMO.

Im not intrested in what people think about quality of the ebay headers.
What i was wondering is that if soneone have done any dyno runs to see hp gains?

Weapon x had a recent post about this very thing, and posted pics of the eBay header flange after it had been on the car a while. Maybe he knows the brand, and you can at least avoid that one.

All the headers are probably within +/- 5 hp and the eBay ones are likely a copy of the larger brands. i used an eBay x pipe that cost $200 and it worked just fine, was 304 stainless like Borla and Corsa. I have TSP headers now, slight fitment issue with the cats touching the tunnel plate, but overall happy. Gained 40hp/tq at the wheels (tuned).

I think 70% of the HP is feasible assuming that you can physically bolt them on your car. Please do a dyno run before and after the install.
